Day 302–308

Week 44 was pretty crazy and to say that finding a gig on Christmas Day was challenging is an understatement. After discovering that two venues that advertised live bands for the day had canceled the shows it was The Curtin and an amazing SMS received on the tram ride home inviting me to a Christmas Day house party that saved the day! Stoked to finally have a house party in the project too! Week 44 of my 365 Day Project features Dusty Ravens at The Retreat, Even for the Even Christmas Party at The Corner, Jurassic Nark at The Tote, soul jams at The Curtin, an epic house party in Northcote Toga Rock, Fuck The Fitzroy Doom Scene at Ding Dong Lounge, Her Majesty's Hangover at The Old Bar and Draught Dodgers for the Cherry Awards at Cherry Bar. It is now 9.30 pm on New Year's Eve … time to head to a gig! All the very best for 2017 folks and thanks for your rad support over this year. You seriously rule.

Day 305: Hack

This is Hack, he has been busking for years. Today is Christmas Day, it's over 40° and there he is … doing what he does. Great to meet you Hack.

Day 305: Cactus Channel

The Cactus Channel join forces with other Melbourne soul musicians to play a James Brown tribute show on Christmas Day at The Curtin in Carlton. Big thanks to The Cactus Channel and the good folk at The Curtin for replying to my messages and not being one of the many venues that ended up cancelling their scheduled live performances for the day.

Day 305: House Party

Heading home on the 86 tram I get a text message – Toga Rock. House party. Northcote – It was a lot of fun and a great way to wrap up the day.
