MABF 2023, NGV

A selection of prints from my State Library Victoria “Tate Adams Residency at Baldessin Press and Studio” Fellowship 2022 project "NoteWorthy" are getting their first public viewing and are available to purchase at the Baldessin Press stall of the Melbourne Artists Book Fair at NGV.

I would like to thank all the musicians who collaborated with me to make “NoteWorthy”. The comingling of the marks – made by the musicians on the copper plates using old and broken musical equipment parts – represents the flow of music and the significance of the musician's contribution to the ongoing sustainability and health of live music culture and the essence of what defines "the scene". Once etched, I used the plates to make a very limited edition monoprint artist book titled "NoteWorthy".

It is a great honour to be a State Library Victoria Fellow and be able to share, through my art, the historical significance of Melbourne's live music creative culture and community, past, present and future.
