Identity crisis

At the beginning of the second Melbourne lockdown in 2020, I began exploring how to create self-portraits while removing myself directly from the image. I made plaster casts of my face, neck and torso, which I used as the subject for the photography. A representation of self, the exposures reflect a sense of disconnect as I came to terms with the isolation of the pandemic. The image represents hope and moving forward. The concept inspired my series, "Invent define destruct".
