Zo Damage has been documenting Melbourne’s underground music scene for close to a decade, her dense catalogue presents the scene in a way that is emotionally honest and captures the rawness of live performance. As part of Leaps And Bounds Music Festival 2016 Damage will showcase EVE: An exhibition celebrating women in music presented by Leaps And Bounds Music Festival and Label of Love.

With a number of solo exhibitions under her belt, including GRIT and PROOF, Zo recently curated the group exhibition DIGS, that included photographic and illustrative works by artists Rennie Ellis, Philip Morris, Ponch Hawkes, Carol Porter and Paul Pirie.

Currently, Zo is almost half way through her commitment to photograph one live band or more every day for a full year with her 365 DAY Live Music Photography Project.

365 DAYS
As a special treat there will also be a selection of photos from Zo's 365 Day Projeect on display at the EVE exhibition.

EVE is running at Besser from 15 – 21 July. Gallery hours are 11am – 5pm. Zo will be at the gallery each day.

The EVE exhibition showed during the Zo Damage 365 Day Live Music Photography Project where on 25 February 2016 Zo committed to photographing a band or more every day for a full year. As 2016 was a leap year Zo photographed each of the 366 days, successfully completing her unprecedented project on 24 February 2017.

The Damage Report

Zo's book The Damage Report, released in August 2017, celebrates the successful completion of her 365 Day Project, offering an insightful look into live music culture from the perspective of the scene itself. Find out more here.
