Smith & Singer’s People’s Choice Award

“MAPh and the MAPh Foundation are delighted to announce that ‘Trust’ by Zo Damage has won the Smith & Singer People's Choice Award, selected from the finalists of the Bowness Photography Prize 2023. Visitors to the exhibition voted ‘Trust’ as their favourite artwork, which received a significant 19% of the vote. Provoking curiosity and wonder, ‘Trust’ – at 15 metres long – brings photography off the wall, undulating into the exhibition space … In acknowledging what this award means to her, Zo Damage says 'It is an honour to have my artwork "Trust" shortlisted for the Bowness Photography Prize 2023 and be in the highly esteemed company of so many incredible photographers. I am incredibly humbled that "Trust" has also received the People's Choice Award. My gratitude for the acknowledgment of my work by my peers and the public cannot be overstated. Thank you for supporting my journey through the magical world of alchemical photography.' Thanks to Smith & Singer for their significant philanthropic support of the Bowness Photography Prize. It reflects the national and historic importance of this prize and the MAPh Foundation is profoundly grateful” (Source: MAPh https://www.instagram.com/p/Cz-gIHxuPe2/).
