Joy by name
Joy by name, joy by nature.
Since buying a large format enlarger and getting my tripod fixed, I have begun to use my Tachihara 4x5 field camera again. The camera demands time and patience. Given that I am an intuitive and spontaneous photographer, I struggle with slowing down to make the captures. While it often feels like the moments get lost in the technical process, it is, however, healthy. I find it fascinating that each of my cameras significantly impacts my photographic style, which extends to the point that I actually see differently depending on what camera I am using. Here, I am combining two of my favourite things. Film photography and doggos. Joy is ever so tolerant in sitting for my “get reacquainted with Tachihara 4x5 large format view camera” sessions.
