Help Me 2010 is one of my favourite photographs.
The girl, overwhelmed by the intensity of the Soundwave mosh, is guided across the top of the crowd from the middle of the D-Ring through to the front, and over the safety barrier where she was helped by security.
It's the small things that are going on here, as much as the obvious, that i love. For me, this photo represents community and respect. She was scared. There was only one sensible way out. And everyone joined forces to help her without questioning it, and without breaking their stride. Brilliant.
Help Me first showed in the Zo Damage GRIT Exhibition. The exhibition featured a series of 16x20” prints, each created using Group C archival paper and very limited to an edition of 3.
